Sarasota Food Blog - SRQ Chew - JDub's Brewing Company & Sarasota Food Trucks

This summer my family and I spent a laid back and fun evening at JDubs’s Brewing Company for their monthly food truck rally in Sarasota. The atmosphere was friendly and comfortable for families and their furry friends. It was an evening of local people supporting local people. I felt the love and community. I was glad to be part of it and try the food and beer for my Sarasota food blog and review.

Fantastic food was provided by local food trucks. Mother Truckin’ Good with a rotating menu that is always fresh and yummy and Sarasota BulGoGi, a Korean BBQ food truck that is a favorite with the kiddos. If you’re in the mood for Mediterranean cuisine, Yummy Kebab is the food truck. Other food trucks included were RI.. Quismo that offers authentic Mexican food, Dashing Dingo Pizza Co. that touts homemade dough and wood fire pizzas. Angry Mike’s Fine Food has gumbo, pressed Cubans and I’ve heard their specialty, “Angry Mike”, a three cheese grilled cheese with pulled pork and slaw is not so angry but SWEEEET. There is also Big John's Texas BBQ & Mouthole BBQ considered to be Sarasota’s best small batch BBQ. I have to mention Out and About Coffee was there too. A must have for coffee purists. Whatever type of food you’re in the mood for, you can’t go wrong with any of the fabulous local food trucks.

I had a gyro from Yummy Kebab and tried the Summer beer on tap, JDub's Lychee IPA. I loved it and had never had anything like it. I wanted to come back and try more of their beers and I did. My friend and I went back for a tasting and met some of JDub's cool people.

The beers we tasted were JDub's Up Top!, their first flagship beer. A classic. JDub's Poolside, a German style Kolsch beer was clean, light and refreshing. JDub's Passion Wheat, a passion fruit and mango wheat ale was delightful. JDub's Zugspitze, an Indian pale larger. I especially loved JDub's UpsTart... tart, sour and clean. So good. JDub's mosaic pale ale called Left on Lido and their Nitro Bell Cow, a milk chocolate porter. Yum! Whatever mood you’re in, creative or classic, bring your taste buds to JDub's.

Taylor, the social media guy at JDub's graciously showed us where they brew their craft beer. Life size pictures of Rocky, Wonder Woman and Elvis give personality to the beer tanks and also gives the brewery even more character than it already has. Listening to Taylor and the other staff, I totally get the “live the life you love” vibe. Sarasota’s JDub's Brewing Company believes in “Quality, Innovation and Culture." They use only the finest ingredients to make original beer. The atmosphere at JDub's is that of people who love what they do, do it well, and have fun.

JDub's Brewing Company is local Sarasota at its best!
